Cooran Choir and Hinterland Harmonies present the movie Sweet Dreams as a fundraiser for women in Rwanda.

Inzozi Nziza (Sweet Dreams) was the first ice cream shop in Rwanda and was the brainchild of Gakire Katese Odile (Kiki). Kiki initially founded a women’s drumming group in Rwanda after the genocide to heal, reunite and empower women from both sides of the conflict. Drumming had previously been a man’s domain but the group became very successful and went on to open Inzozi Nziza as a women’s economic empowerment initiative.

From there a song was written and a documentary made to showcase the powerful, transformative work of Kiki and the women of Rwanda.

Hear the choirs perform the song Inzozi Nziza and other related songs, watch the movie whilst indulging in yummy chai and cake.

Buy some raffle tickets for the chance to win some cool prizes!
